2007 Marzemino Mozart Trentino DOC

In his opera Don Giovanni, Mozart repeatedly mentions the "excellent Marzemino" and so his name has been given to this delicately spicy red wine made from grapes cultivated in the Vallagarina area close to Rovereto in the south of Trentino.

Tasting Notes
Bright ruby with violet reflections, the nose is also reminiscent of this flower. On the palate it is delicate, inviting, mellow with mild tannins.

Matching
Highly recommended with mushroom-based dishes.

Winemaking Notes
After crushing, fermentation at 24-26°C with the solid parts of the must being kept entirely submerged. Malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation occur in stainless steel followed by bottling in Spring. The wine ages in bottle before release.
