The Consortium, starts in may 1949, wanted by 18 producers, it was called "Consortium for the defence of fine and typical wines of Frascati". In later years it was modified in "Consortium in warranty of Frascati trade name".
It's been one of the first associations to receive the task of controlling the trade name.
The brand of the Consortium is an eagle with open wings and her claws hold a sign on which is written TVSCVLUM, placed on a shell with spirals and crowned with a noble crown which contains elements of the coat of arms of the town of Frascati (crossed keys), Grottaferrata (wrought iron gate), and Monte Porzio Catone (pine tree with crossed screws).
