The Enrico Serafino winery began its activity in 1878 in Canale d’Alba, in the heart of Roero in the south of the Piemonte region. At the end of the 18th century it was one of the first cellars to export wine to foreign countries, even outside Europe. Neighbouring vineyards owned by a few selected growers, especially in the Langhe, also contribute to the winery’s grape supply. The winery covers about 6000 square metres and is equipped with the most modern technologies. Innovative spirit is reflected in the recent establishment of the Cantina Maestra which is at the heart of Enrico Serafino. The Italian word "Maestra", which is translated "Master", denotes quality and excellence. Enrico Serafino stands for the best winemaking tradition of the Piedmont region and produces quality wines from the indigenous grape varieties, notably Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis.
